Today is no different…Bring the kids, bring your friends and stop by the Town of Beekman Community Day, Saturday July 18th from noon until 11pm at the Recreation Park off of Rec Road!  This years theme is Treasures of Beekman and there will be booths and activities from noon until 6pm with all kinds of entertainment in the Talent Tent.  Kids activites include lego building, face painting, a water slide, and for the grown-ups many local business have booths!  Fireworks after dark, so bring a blanket or chair to sit on.

Why buy now…

  1. Interest rates are at an historic low.
  2. If you are a first-time home buyer, there is currently a tax break if you buy now.
  3. Home prices have fallen to levels we have not seen in decades.
  4. The Poughkeepsie Journal will NOT run an article saying we have hit the bottom of the market.  You will only know we have hit bottom when we are already on the way back up.
  5. Historically, homes have generally appreciated over time raising the net worth of homeowners.  This will be true again when this economic period is over.
  6. We predict the next economic problem will be inflation due to the excess monies being spent in the “so-called” stimulus package.  Homes and real estate will rise with inflation thus protecting your net worth.
  7. You should always keep in mind that 28% of yearly gross income is the safe limit for housing debt and real estate taxes combined.
