Today is no different…Bring the kids, bring your friends and stop by the Town of Beekman Community Day, Saturday July 18th from noon until 11pm at the Recreation Park off of Rec Road! This years theme is Treasures of Beekman and there will be booths and activities from noon until 6pm with all kinds of entertainment in the Talent Tent. Kids activites include lego building, face painting, a water slide, and for the grown-ups many local business have booths! Fireworks after dark, so bring a blanket or chair to sit on.
R. Ferris Real Estate will be there with free give-aways and a free raffle. Not to mention information for the first-time home buyer. We will also have experienced agents who are all Town of Beekman residents on hand to assist and answer any question you may have. Calling all fisherman! This Saturday, April 25th is the Poughquag Sportman’s annual Fishing Derby held at the Beekman Recreation Park. Come on over and fish from 8:00 am until 12:15 pm.

Spring is here! Major League, college, and high school baseball has started. On Saturday, April 18th baseball will come to life in Beekman. Opening day for the 670+ boys and girls on 60 teams will kick off at the Beekman Recreation with a continental breakfast for sale starting at 8:30am The players will line up for the parade at 9am and then march in for the ceremonies at 9:30am. Games will kick off at 11am!
The Beekman Athletic Club is the umbrella for the Beekman’s Little League girls softball program and the boys Cal Ripkin/Babe Ruth program. For the spring 2009 season there are 8 Tee ball teams, 6 Rookie Minor team, 7 Rookie Major teams, 7 Cal Ripken Minor teams, 7 Cal Ripkin Major teams and 4 Babe Ruth Junior teams.
On the softball side there are 6 Intro to softball teams, 5 Junior Minor teams, 3 Senior Minor teams, 4 Little League teams, 2 Junior League teams and 1 Senior League team.
